Mr Porter is no stranger to collabs.
Following hook-ups with Prada and an entire line dedicated to emergent Japanese style, the retailer is back with a massive, comprehensive T-shirt collection from over 17 contemporary brands.
Pairing up with the likes of Aimé Leon Dore, Aries and Carhartt WIP, Mr Porter's latest release touches upon every aesthetic imaginable: star-spangled decay from 424, stylised city graphics from Come Tees, floral touches from Noon Goons and so on and so forth. Speaking about the collection, buyer George Archer said: "most of the capsules have been geared towards our heavyweights designers... With the addition of many new contemporary brands to our portfolio in the past six months, and with many more to come, we felt an exclusive T-shirt capsule was the perfect opportunity to showcase both the fresh and strong voices in this category."
And, despite the crowded pool of collaborators, a common thread unites each piece. "The graphic prints are what makes this collection so special and for some of the brands, such as Aime Leon Doré and John Elliot, who don’t always offer graphic prints in their regular offering, we’ve been able to create designs that remain true to their brand DNA."
