Daniel Craig stops filming Bond 25 due to injury
- Daniel Craig may have a license to kill, but he’ll be doing so on crutches for the next few weeks
- The James Bond star injured his ankle causing production to be postponed in London
- This is just another in a long line of production issues on the set of Bond 25
It’s never been more unclear as to when audiences will finally get to see Bond 25, or at least the title of the film.
Now a production snafu – which saw Daniel Craig hurt his ankle – has only added to the confusion of when the film will officially be announced.
At the age of 51, Daniel Craig is no spring chicken. During a sprinting scene, Craig reportedly ‘slipped and fell quite awkwardly’, hurting his ankle a source told The Sun.
As the star ‘was in quite a lot of pain’, filming for the 25th instalment in London has been not only postponed, but cancelled. Sadly, this sort of tragic news is something Bond fans are becoming too familiar with.
Craig’s role as Bond in the film was up in the air due to a number of comments he made about willingness in signing up for the movie. Even before filming started, which was only a month ago, original director Danny Boyle left the Bond 25 project due to ‘creative differences’… meaning he proposed to axe 007.
Couple this with all the writing issues the film has faced, it’s looking pretty bleak for fans. However fans may find some solace (not the Quantum kind) in the fact that Rami Malek, Oscar-winner, is set to be the arch-enemy of Bond in the film, that’s exciting right?
As with all Bond movies lately, the unnamed film is said to open with Bond having totally left the secret service and never coming back! The film is rumoured to be a remake of the 1969 Bond instalment, with Bond on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist.
The film is scheduled to release April next year but who knows at this point.
