Spotify today introduces its Singles program to the Middle East and North Africa. Featuring a performance from Moroccan-Cameroonian artist Tagne, he’ll showcase different versions of two tracks from his new album Lmektoub: “Niya” featuring Fares LÜNN and “Liberté”. You can watch Tagne’s performance on Spotify Singles here tonight, live at 10pm UAE-time.
Since its inception in 2017, Spotify Singles has amassed over seven billion streams, providing artists with an opportunity to record new versions of their own songs, covers, or original compositions. To date, more than 700 recordings from over 300 artists have apeared—including the likes of Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Mac Miller, Taylor Swift, R3HAB, and GATTUSO. The complete list of Spotify Singles can be found here.

Tagne ranks among the most streamed artists in MENA for Wrapped 2022, pulling in fans way beyond his native Morocco, and building a dedicated following in France, the Netherlands, and Germany.
“It gives me great pleasure to be the first artist from the region to take part in Spotify Singles and share my music with a wider audience,” said Tagne. “Performing an acoustic version of two tracks from my new album Lmektoub was a pure pleasure.
“I hope these renditions please listeners, inspire them positively, and encourage them to explore the rest of the album, which holds many more surprises. I also hope that Spotify Singles will pave the way for other artists from the region. There is an abundance of extraordinary talent that deserves to be showcased.”
