Fun fact: one of the greatest shocks ever recorded by seismographs was an earthquake also in the Arabian Sea, about 300 kilometres away from Karachi. The quake which was recorded back in 1945 was rumoured to have been near the double ridge that runs along the bed of the sea.
This quake was so far away from land that it's doubtful it would have caused any harm.
