Dubai is holding a massive EDM festival this weekend
Tomorrowland is returning to Dubai this weekend – but not quite as we know it. That said, this one-off digital version of the famed EDM festival will have some massive names performing on July 25 and 26, including Tiësto, Steve Aoki, David Guetta, Katy Perry and Martin Garrix.
Traditionally the dance mega-festival is held in Belgium, but this year (dubbed 'Tomorrowland: Around the World') it will take place online with a virtual presence - and will be streamed live from Festival Arena in Dubai Festival City.
As part of Dubai Summer Surprises tickets are being sold to the event, but following cautious social distancing guidelines.
Tickets must be purchased by table – so there’s a minimum grouping of four, right up to packages for ten people, including F&B. Each groups of friends will have their own dedicated area, and will be able to order refreshments via table service, rather than joining a queue in front of a vendor.
The digital festival is the first major EDM festival to be held following the global cancellation of events due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.
