This Koenigsegg Regera supercar heist film is the best thing you'll watch today
While most people made bread during the pandemic lockdown, the infinitely brilliant people at Koenigsegg decided to turn their hands to something a little less edible and a little more on-brand, creating a short film that sees its legendary 1,500-horsepower hypercar, the Regera, star in its own heist.
Named Time to Reign, the 11-minute film was entirely written and produced by in-house Koenigsegg staff. In fact, all the 'actors' in the film were also employees of the carmaker, including the company's founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, especially seeing as it's his 1,500hp car that gets "stolen" and becomes the film's centerpiece.
The star of the show is of course the Regera, the twin-turbo, 5.0-litre V8 monster that is fitted with three electric motors and can accelerate up to 400kph(!) in less than 20 seconds.
Make no mistake about it, this is not a sales video for Koenigsegg, as all of the 80 Regeras to have ever been made have been sold. So if you're interested, you're only option is to either pay more than its initial asking price of around $2 million... or steal one.
