How to play Valorant in the Middle East right now
Riot Games free-to-play first person shooter Valorant is out now and available to download across the Middle East.
The launch has been staggered throughout the night, with the Asia-Pacific going first, followed by Europe, Turkey, Russia, and finally the United States.
Previously, the game was running in beta with only US and European servers on offer. Fortunately, there are a few more running the game as of launch day (but unfortunately, there is no dedicated Middle Eastern servers.
Fortunately, the existence of Turkish and Asian servers should make gamers’ pings a little more bearable in the region. And while there are no Middle Eastern servers at launch, Riot Games has said that dedicated servers for the Middle East will arrive later this year.
"Riot Games is highly committed to providing the India and rest of the South Asia region with an excellent gaming experience. While you'll be joining the worldwide launch on June 2, the official servers which will support Middle East & South Asia will come later in the year.
Valorant is the much-touted first person shooter from Riot Games, the people behind League of Legends. Its being compared to the iconic FPS and e-sports stalwart Counter-Strike, as well as Blizzard’s Overwatch.
To download the game, just head over to the game's official website. Then hit the Play Now button, plug in your Riot account and presto – you’ll begin downloading the game.
