Always Sunny is coming back for a record 15th season
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed for a 15th season, earning it the award of longest-running live-action American sitcom.
FX renewed the series for its record 15th season. The series follows five friends who run a pub in South Philadelphia. It premiered on FX, but now appears on FXX since season nine.
It’s Always Sunny was created and produced by three members of its cast: Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day. It also stars Kailtin Olson and Danny DeVitto.
According to Instagram, the 15th season is currently underway – however it’s not known when cast will be able to get together and film.
The previous longest-running show was The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet – which ran 14 seasons back in 1966.
