Next Ermenegildo Zegna show to be 100% digital
The next collection by Ermenegildo Zegna will be entirely digital when it lands in July.
The announcement was made by Alessandro Sartori, the creative director of the Italian luxury brand.
The whole world is feeling the effects of the coronavirus, which has forced many industries to adapt to new business realities. Fashion has not been except, forcing to cancel major runway shows around the likes of Fashion Week.
Hot on the heels of the announcement from London Fashion Week – which will go entirely online and combine both men and women's wear in June, Ermenegildo Zegna has said it will be showcase its new wares online as well.
Sartori broke the news on Instagram and announced a new format he's dubbed as 'Phygital' (physical vs digital), which will be devoted to the 2021 summer line that will be showcased in July.
"I have always wanted to use alternative formats to communicate my creative process to an even wider audience," says Sartori.
The idea that this season I will present the collection with a digital tool gives me great energy and freedom of thought because I can finally enter directly into people's homes," explained Alessandro Sartori on his Instagram account.
