The Mandalorian season three is in development
As the Mandalorian Season 2 trailer drops, season 3 is already in development by Disney+.
The live-action Star Wars series premiered on the streaming platform last fall, and became an instant hit with fans.
With Star Wars movies on a break (the next one isn’t scheduled to release until December 2022) the studio is banking on its television shows to sate fans.
Currently, there are shows based around the Mandalorian, Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the pipeline, along with its animated show based on the Clone Wars.
The Mandalorian Season 2 is destined to land on streaming screens in October, and promises to be bigger than its predecessor. The storyline that has Star Wars fans in a frenzy is the rumoured inclusion of Ahsoka Tano – the Jedi Padawan who starred in Star Wars animated Clone Wars.
The genius of the Mandalorian lies in that it revolves around a group of characters that fans are unfamiliar with (giving its writers and director Jon Favreau free reign on its story).
