Fortnite Season 2 extended into the summer for X-men themed twist
Season 2 of Fortnite: Battle Royale Chapter 2 will run for an additional five weeks, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Instead of ending on April 30, the season has been extended for another five weeks. Season 3 is set to begin on June 4. Developers Epic Games did not elaborate on why but did promise more content.
"We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises up our sleeve," the team at Epic Games wrote.
Epic didn't say exactly what the content will be, but the facts point to X-men themed antics.
Dataminers – those who shift through video game code for hints at what might be to come – have unearthed skins for several of Deadpool's mates, in the X-Force.
The current season has a secret agent theme that has run through Season 1. Deadpool has already made an appearance in the game, but it's expected that Cable, Domino and Psylocke will also be appearing over the next couple of weeks.
