Late night talk show hosts team up for a massive Lady Gaga-curated Covid-19 concert
Late night superstars Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel will host a Lady Gaga-curated concert highlighting efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
The One World: Together at Home special will air on platforms including ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV, YouTube, iHeartRadio, and Apple Music on April 18th. Guests include Billie Joe Armstrong, J Balvin, Andrea Bocelli, Burna Boy, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Elton John, Lang Lang, John Legend, Lizzo, Maluma, Chris Martin, Paul McCartney, Alanis Morissette, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Eddie Vedder, and Stevie Wonder. Also slated to appear are David Beckham, Idris Elba, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, and Kerry Washington. The show is organized by charity concert organizer Global Citizen and the World Health Organization.
The event follows the Elton John-hosted iHeart Living Room Concert for America, which took the place of the iHeartRadio Music Awards and aired on Fox on March 29th. Performers included Eilish, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, the Backstreet Boys, and Dave Grohl, and raised more than $8 million for Feeding America and the First Responders Children's Foundation.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the One World special will also include educational segments that will offer viewers COVID-19 prevention and treatment advice, interviews with WHO experts, and with medical workers fighting the virus. The broadcast will also feature sketches and surprise celebrity cameos.
