Former F1 mogul Bernie Ecclestone to become a father for the fourth time at 89
Former Formula One mogul Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that he will soon be welcoming his fourth child. The 89-year old billionaire is expecting his first son with 44-year-old wife Fabiana Flosi.
“I don’t see there’s any difference between being 89 and 29,” the former Formula One executive told British outlet PA Media news agency, according to CNN. “You’ve got the same problems I suppose. It’s all right.”
Ecclestone's reign as the chief executive of Formula One ended after 40-years in 2017 when the business was bought over by Liberty Media.
The billionaire also spoke to BBC 5 Live on Saturday, and joked: 'This is what happens when you retire', when questioned about becoming a father again in just a matter of months.
Flosi, a former marketing executive for Formula One said: "Like all parents, we have only one wish: the child must be born healthy,' before adding: 'Hopefully he will never express the intention to do something with Formula 1."
Ecclestone is already father to three grown up daughters. His eldest daughter Deborah is 65 and was born to his first wife Ivy Bamford, while his other two daughters Tamara (35) and Petra (31) were born to his second wife Slavica Radic.
He married his third wife, Flosi, in 2012 at his ski chalet in Switzerland.
His daughters have both issued statement saying they are "thrilled" for their father, who will turn 90 on October 28.
