John Krasinski has launched a "good news" vlog. And it is brilliant
Tired of all this bad news going around the world right now? Feeling a bit cooped up in your home? We;; you're not alone. Everyone's favourite US Office character, Jim Halpert AKA John Krasinski is here with the best thing the internet has seen in a while. Some Good News.
The Hollywood celebrity is hosting his own homemade talk show, Some Good News on YouTube and in the last three days has gotten close to 10 million views on YouTube alone.
His new vlog comes after a tweet last week in which Krasinski asked his followers to send in stories “that have made you feel good this week, or the things that just made you smile”.
Sitting at home, Krasinski faces the camera in a suit and tie, infront of a handmade sign made by his daughters, he said:
“For years now, I’ve been wondering, why is there not a news show dedicated entirely to good news? Well, desperately seeking my fix somewhere else, I reached out to all of you this week, asking, nay, begging, for some good news. And boy, did you deliver.
“After reading those replies and the incredibly heartwarming stories that came with them, I thought, ‘All right. Enough is enough, world. Why not us? Why not now?’ So, ladies and gentleman, this is your fault, and this is SGN. I’m John Krasinski, and if it isn’t clear yet, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.”
But joining him on the show was his Office co-star Steve Carrell who made an appearance to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the show.
