Robert Pattinson’s Batman film has shut down due to coronavirus
The Batman starring Robert Pattinson and directed by Matt Reeves has paused production over the coronavirus fears.
The studio made a statement earlier today, saying "Warner Bros. Pictures feature production of The Batman will be on a two-week hiatus starting today. The studio will continue to monitor the situation closely."
No members of cast or crew have contracted the virus, however the pandemic continues to disrupte the entertainment industry.
Since the virus became a pandemic, films such as No Time to Die and Disney’s Mulan have moved their theatrical release dates. Other movies, such as Mission Impossible 7 and Fast & Furious 9 have also had to halt production for the foreseeable future.
Pattinson’s Batman has been shooting for the past month or two across various UK cities.
Colin Farrell is also attached to the project, where he will be playing the Penguin, while Paul Dano is onboard to be the Riddler. Andy Serkis will play Aflred Pennyworth, while Zoe Kravitz is attached as Catwoman. Westworld’s Jeffrey Wright will play Commissioner Gordon.
