The new 911 Turbo S is Porsche’s most powerful ever
In the absence of the Geneva Motor Show, Porsche has unveiled – via video presentation – the new 911 Turbo S and a new convertible version of the motor.
The German automaker had planned to present both at the Geneva exhibition, which was cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The next-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S offers a new level of power and comfort. It comes with a 3.8-litre flat-six engine that can deliver up to 650-horsepower (that’s almost 70-horsepower more than the previous model).
It can go from 0-100 kilometres per hour (which is the same as the 2019 model).
The shape of the 911 has been modified; it’s now wider and squatter, with a new front wing and 20-inch tires and 21-inch ones at the back. There’s also a new dynamic and precise suspension system, that offers better stability and drivability – especially in the corners.
The new 911 Turbo S Coupe and Cabriolet are destined to arrive on roads late in 2020. They will start at around US$205,000 and US$220,000 respectively.
