Bad Boys, Doolittle and The Wave: new in cinemas this week
New year, new you (new films).
This week sees the return of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence to play the detective pair, Downey Jr playing Dr. Doolittle in its first re-boot film, as well as Justin Long playing with hallucinogens.
Bad Boys for Life
It looks to be the final film in the Bad Boys saga, as both Smith and Lawrence return to play their ill-fated copes. The film also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Charles Melton and Joe Pantoliano, directed by Adil & Bilall.
The first in what might be a new trilogy for Downey Jr’s Doolittle, sees the animal doctor coaxed out of his isolated manor when Queen Victoria sends him in search of a mythical cure.
There’s an all-star cast alongside Downey Jr, including Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, John CEna, Emma Thompson, Rami Malek and Tom Holland.
More cerebral than the previously mentioned films, The Wave follows an insurance lawyer used to taking advantage of situations. However, when a mystery hallucinogen takes advantage of him, calamity ensues.
