Deadpool is sick of everyone hating on Nickelback
Finally. Someone is addressing this hater culture we live in.
In Once Upon a Deadpool's most recent promo trailer, Deadpool sits down bedside with Fred Savage to discuss one of the most contentious and polarizing topics of our time: the legitimacy and documented success of prolific rock group, Nickelback.
Once Upon a Deadpool—which is literally just a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 that appears to use Fred Savage and a bedtime story as a framing device—is hitting theaters again on December 12. In this new clip, Savage quips, "I kind of prefer Marvel movies." Deadpool fires back, "We are Marvel," to which Savage responds, "Yeah, but you know, you're Marvel licensed by Fox. It's like if the Beatles were produced by Nickelback. It's music, but it sucks."
Button officially pushed.
That's when Deadpool launches into the facts and figures. When you hear it all said aloud, Nickelback's resume is kind of impressive: 50 million albums sold, Billboard's most successful rock group of the past decade, and a lot of Canadian awards. Guess how many Juno awards Radiohead has? Zero. Suck on that, Thom.
After seeing the error of his ways, Savage and Deadpool join together for a singalong of "How You Remind Me," which is now stuck in your head for the rest of the day. You're welcome.
Once Upon a Deadpool is out on December 12, and a dollar from every ticket will be donated to Fuck Cancer, which is temporarily renamed Fudge Cancer because typically you can only say fuck once in a PG-13 movie.
So take that as your lesson of the day. Deadpool 2 is re-released, Fred Savage is looking great for his age, and don't test Deadpool's deep knowledge of top-selling Canadian musical artists. Honestly, all he was missing was a graph.
