Greta Thunberg is getting a documentary on Hulu
Sixteen-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg will be the subject of a new documentary.
In August, at the age of fifteen, Thunberg began a ‘school strike’ every Friday to protest against the Swedish government’s climate change policies. Within months, her strike became a global movement, and Greta found herself in the public spotlight.
Today, she is widely recognised as one of the biggest speakers on a mission to make the world aware of the urgency of the climate crisis.
According to Hulu, there has been a team following Thunberg from her early school strikes in Stockholm all the way to her recent speech at the United Nations.
The film – whose working title is simply ‘Greta’ is directed by Nathan Grossman and produced by Cecilia Nessen and Fredrik Heinig via B-Reel Films.
Thunberg was recently named Time’s Person of the year, making her one of the youngest ever people to receive the award.
Greta will join Hulu’s growing list of documentaries, including the docu-series ‘Hillary’ which will focus on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The documentary is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
