Star Wars' Mark Hamill pays touching tribute to Luke Skywalker
Mark Hamill has paid a touching tribute to his Star Wars character Luke Skywalker.
Ahead of the release of The Rise of Skywalker later this month, the actor took to Twitter on Friday (December 12) to reflect upon the journey of his character.
After more than four decades on screen, the end of the Skywalker saga is drawing to a close, marking the end of an era for the great Jedi master.
"As the end draws near - I can't tell you how much one single role has meant to me over the years," Mark wrote.
"Because of him people feel they know me. Because of him everyone is my friend. Because of him it seems like the whole world is my family. I will be grateful for that... Forever."
The post follows the revelation that the original versions of the first Star Wars trilogy will never again be released. It also follows Hamill revealing what baby Luke from Revenge of the Sith looks like now.
