Jennifer Lopez just signed on to micro-streaming platform Quibi
The new show – which will air after Quibi’s launch in April next year – will allow ordinary people and celebrities to donate vast sums of money to people who have made an impact in their lives.
Along with J-Lo, her fiancée and baseball star Alex Rodriguez and actress Kristen Bell will be part of the new show.
According to its description on Quibi, “In each episode, grateful public figures kickstart a chain of kindness by gifting $100,000 to an unsuspecting individual who has had a positive impact on their life. The recipient must then pay it forward by gifting half of that sum to someone else who has done the same, and the chain continues. Across ten episodes, $1,000,000 will be put in the hands of everyday people.”
Each episode will spotlight a new celebrity. Other A-listers who have signed on to the show include comedian Tracy Morgan, supermodel Karlie Kloss and American football player Aaron Rodgers.
Jennifer Lopez will be handling production of the new series, via her company Nuyorican Productions.
Quibi has a host of new shows in development, including a horror series by Steven Spielberg which viewers will only be able to watch if their phones sense that it is dark outside (spooky).
