Frozen 2 rakes in $350 million worldwide on box office debut
There was no denying that Frozen 2 would make serious money at the box office. Five years ago, Frozen, which saw musical hits such as Let it Go, went on to gross $1.27bn making it the biggest animated film of all time. Now, in just its box office debut, the sequel has made a cool $350 million.
The first Frozen film captured the hearts, minds and the viral part of the internet when it was released six years ago. The soundtrack has since been played millions upon millions of times by little boys and girls and adult boys and girls.

Frozen 2 reunites the cast and creative team from the Oscar-winning 2013 film Frozen - the highest grossing animated film of all time - including actors Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, who reprise their roles, as well as directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee.
It’s the highest-grossing debut ever for any animated film globally and it marks a new high in the U.S. and Canada for an animated movie released post summer.
