Emilia Clarke wants to be the first female James Bond
After a number of people including ex-007 agent Pierce Brosnan have made a case for a female Bond, Emilia Clarke aka Khaleesi aka Mother of Dragons has now put her hat in the ring to be the next James Bond.
She recently told Empire magazine, "Yeah! Of course! Hell to the yeah! James Bond is one of those franchises where it’s never not cool."
Speculation as to the next James Bond actor has gone into overdrive after rumours of Daniel Craig stepping down form the role after 13 years. Pierce Brosnan however called the idea of a female James Bond, ‘exciting’ and the debate over who should take Daniel Craig’s place after the release of Cary Fukunaga’s No Time To Die is not going to stop any time soon.
However, a strong case is being made that it should be a woman, not a man, to replace James Bond.
For the 25th James Bond movie set to hit the cinemas next year, the next 007 spy will played by Lashana Lynch, making her the first black, and female person to hold the title on the silver screen.
The most highly anticipated James Bond movie has finally finished filming and will hit the screens April 3, 2020.
