Burj Khalifa lights up for Shah Rukh Khan's 54 birthday
To celebrate the King of Bollywood himself turning 54, the entire Burj Khalifa lit up to wish Shah Rukh Khan a happy birthday.
King Khan and Dubai have a strong relationship, Khan was one of the first celebs announced to be receiving a Dubai Star. According to The Dubai Stars page, the Bollywood star was one of the most nominated names to receive the star.

Khan has for a long time been a keen visitor of Dubai, having countless fans across the emirates. He is also an ambassador of Dubai Tourism and has been the face of numerous promos. Safe to say then, SRK and Dubai are good buds.
As the star turned 54 years old on November 2, one of Dubai’s most iconic buildings lit up in his honour. The Burj Khalfia, the tallest building in the world, decided to use its near-830 metre façade to celebrate the special birthday.
The Burj Khalifa is a popular muse for celebrations and promotions across the Emirates. Whether it’s a holiday, anniversary, birthday, ad-campaign, the Burj is the perfect place to get a message across.
Coupled with some snazzy fountain displays, the soaring tower read “Happy Birthday Shah Rukh Khan” in a deep orange-on-black colour scheme.
To my brother, the awesomely cool Mr. @Mohamed_Alabbar and @BurjKhalifa @emaardubai. Thanks for making me shine so bright. Your love and kindness is unsurpassable. Wow! This is really the Tallest I have ever been. Love u Dubai. It’s my birthday and I’m the guest! pic.twitter.com/8oFAQCqNbD— Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) November 2, 2019
Khan took to Twitter to personally thank Dubai and his friend Mohamed Alabbar, founder and chairman of Emaar Properties. Emaar Properties is the company largely responsible for bringing to life the Burj Khalifa and nearby Dubai Mall, both record-shattering structures.
Khan didn’t gain the title of King of Bollywood by chance, he’s one of the most celebrated actors in the world. In his near three decade long acting career, he has been in over 80 Bollywood films and received 14 Filmfare Awards.
His theatrical debut was way back in 1992 where he was in the Hind film Deewana.
Fast forward to now and he’s one of the richest actors in the world with a fan-base estimated by Time magazine to be close to 3.5 'BILLION', close to half the population of the planet. That's quite the estimation.
As part of his birthday, he stood on the balcony of his home in Mumbai to greet a sea of screaming fans. You can check out a video below:
