Logan Paul on fighting Conor McGregor: "I am a lot bigger than him"
Paul, who is tirelessly preparing for his rematch with KSI, has claimed he’s doing so much training that he’s ascended into the level of professional fighter and even has some brain damage because of his training. Even more ridiculously the YouTuber-turn-boxer has said he’s drinking the blood of cows to prepare himself.
Clearly Paul is really feeling himself as he bulks up for the bout in LA as the young 24-year old has now said once again he has his sights set on McGregor.
In a video interview with Fight Hype, a sweaty Paul confirmed that he “would love to fight Conor McGregor.” His elaboration however was far less brazen than his first call out to McGregor at a press conference.
Paul explained that: “I don’t want to do it in the next two years. I need time to get better and for him to get older. Let the man age a little bit, let me get a bit better and start to peak – then I’ll take on McGregor.”
This claim comes a month after Paul first announced he wanted a go in the octagon against McGregor. McGregor, having been an MMA fighter for years, has been both the featherweight and lightweight champion till last year where Russia’s Khabib Nurmagomedov took the lightweight title from the Irishman. Still, McGregor has a record of 21 wins and 4 loses in MMA.
Technically speaking however, McGregor’s boxing record is worse than Paul’s. Paul currently has one draw on his record whereas McGregor has one loss (to Floyd Mayweather Jr.).
Paul concludes his aspiration to tackle McGregor saying ““I am a lot bigger than him, 20-30lbs heavier.” Paul prior to his first bout in 2018 with KSI had only ever dabbled in wrestling at high school and general fitness. He has however now stated he is “literally a professional fighter and I feel like it.”
The boxing rematch between Paul and KSI will take place on November 9 at the Staples Center, being streamed on DAZN’s dedicated service.
