Burger King hires ghost medium to promote new Halloween whopper
Halloween is nearly upon us, and with that comes a slew of cheesy marketing campaigns from big franchises to celebrate the spooky season. Burger King having launched Halloween whoppers in the past, it is back this year for a ghost-themed sandwich.
Limited edition burgers may sound ridiculous and that’s because they totally are. But every so often it can be quite fun. Burger King has always enjoyed rolling out celebratory burgers, most recently in our minds being the Stranger Things whopper which was literally just a normal whopper but served upside down (get it?).
To celebrate Halloween this year, Burger King went with a funny video parodying a séance in which a group of people sit around a table with real-life spiritual medium Riz Mirza and channel ghosts in order to serve them Halloween-themed whoppers. Seriously.
The burger itself, which is available from October 24 in select locations, does not stray far from the tried-and-test whopper formula. The flame-grilled beef burger is topped with tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and white onions, with the only difference being the ‘spectral white bun’ which is a white cheddar-infused bun.
