Here’s how to download Android 10 on your Pixel
Google will begin rolling out its latest version of Android to all Pixel smartphones later today.
The news was spotted by eagle-eyed Google phone fans in a Canadian phone network report. The carrier Rogers said the Big G would start pushing Android 10 to all Pixel smartphones, from the new Pixel 3a XL right down to the original Pixel.
Previously, Google has always launched its new operating systems at the start of September. And given that this Monday was a holiday in the US, it makes sense that the company would start delivering updates when everyone got back to work.
Early last month, Google unveiled the final Beta of Android Q ahead of this official release. The biggest features will be gesture controls, which uses the phone’s front-facing camera and depth sensor to let users interact with their smartphone by swiping above the screen.
When the updates start rolling out, downloading them down to your Pixel is super simple. Just head to the settings menu, select ‘About Phone’ and then tap ‘Check for Updates’. If Android 10 has been rolled out in your region, the download and installation will begin.
