Apple & Samsung face lawsuit for phones exceeding safe radio-frequency emissions

Your favourite smartphones could be more damaging than you thought.
In a study from RF Exposure Lab, it’s been revealed that our favourite Apple and Samsung products exceed recommended levels of radio-frequency (RF) emissions.
The study was conducted on behalf of Chicago Tribune and has resulted in both Apple and Samsung being hit with a major class action lawsuit.
The suit claims that:
“recent testing of [Apple and Samsung] products shows that the potential exposure for an owner carrying the phone in a pants or shirt pocket was over the exposure limit, sometimes far exceeding it–in some instances by 500 percent.”
The phones included in the suit include the iPhone 7, 8 and X, as well as Samsung’s Galaxy range. If true, the suit explains a host of health complications due to the exposure:
“Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. “
The plaintiffs, the ones accusing Apple and Samsung are seeking an amount exceeding U.S. $5 million from the two multi-billion dollar companies.
