Eddie Murphy will host Saturday Night Live for the first time since 1984
It's been 35 years and more since Eddie Murphy hosted NBC's famous Saturday Night Live. He's just been announced as the new line up of hosts for the hit comedy show later this year.
Comedian Eddie Murphy will appear in his season's holiday episode on December 21.
Earlier this year, Murphy appeared in an episode of Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and while discussing his career he did say that the prospect of going back to doing stand-up was a priority.
Netflix will reportedly pay Murphy upwards of $70 million for a comedy special, according to Vanity Fair.
