Aston Martin now offers a bespoke supervillain lair service
Aston Martin has never been a brand to be shy of its close link to the James Bond name. That link is closer than ever as the car maker now designs supervillain lairs for you.
The particularly rich Bond super-fans out there always had the option to indulge their fandom with a special Bond edition Aston Martin of sorts. Now those rich fans also have the opportunity to live like a supervillain in an Aston Martin-made lair.
Named ‘Aston Martin Automotive Galleries and Lairs’, the service does exactly what it says on the tin. There are two tiers to choose from, the ‘Automotive Gallery’ service and the ‘Lair’ service.
The galleries are the more fathomable of the two services, offering luxurious versions of your classic garage, or even a private car museum. The galleries keep the car collection as the focal point of the construction, keeping things sleek and simple with a nice little glass box and having your cars speak for themselves.
The ‘Lair’ option is where things get seriously Bond-ified. Lairs are entire architectural projects that call in designers, architects, artists, anyone you need to make your crazy lair a reality.
Underground waterfalls, sweeping glass staircases, a giant shark tank to park your car. It’s all possible when Aston is making your super-lux car lair. From the renderings of what kind of lairs could be possible, we’re definitely getting Bond vibes.
The renderings show massive hollowed out underground rooms fitted with seating areas to interrogate Mr. Bond and massive aquariums to have quiet moments to contemplate your world domination.
Customers will work with both Aston Martin’s design team and a team of architects to bring their lair to life.
Aston Martin Partnerships Director Sebastien Delmaire outlines more detailed possibilities below:
“Aston Martin has decades of expertise in staging cars in order to present them at their absolute best but also understands the importance of storage and maintenance of these living, breathing machines. Automotive Galleries can even be designed to fit the era if a customer has a heritage car. We are able to cover every requirement, whether it is to display single cars as pieces of automotive art or a full collection of cars in a private museum. These spaces provide an opportunity for people to create their own unique world where they can share their passion for cars with their guests. The opportunities are endless.”
There’s no word a release date on this service, or on pricing, though we have a feeling that if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.
