Porsche launches most powerful Cayennes ever
Porsche has pulled the wraps off two new Cayenne models: the Turbo S E-Hybrid and Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe.
The two are powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that’s capable of 511-horsepower, coupled with an electric motor supplying an additional 134-horsepower. Together, that combines to a whopping 670-horsepower.
The new hybrid engine gives them the oomph to go from 0-100km in just 3.6-seconds, and reach a top speed of 294-kilometres per hour.
A third – slightly lower model - was launched alongside the pair, another Coupe with a maximum powertrain of 455-horsepower.
All three hybrid models feature lime green brake calipers and slightly modified exteriors to increase aerodynamics. Each comes with Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package as standard, and are tuned for performance.
The two high-performance models also get Ceramic Composite Brakes, Dynamic Chassis Control and Torque Vectoring Plus.
All models will hit the roads in 2020. The two high-end models will cost around US$160,000 while the lower-end Coupe starts at US$86,000.
