Dubai's largest vegan restaurant is coming for meat eaters

In classic Dubai fashion, the world’s largest something is coming to town. And this time it comes in vegan form.
Meat tends to be a staple in Arabic cuisine, and makes up the main part of most Western dishes. However, that's slowly changing; and the UAE is at the forefront of that meat-free revolution.
Veganism in Dubai hasn't quite been taken to with the same speed as places like London and New York. Many vegans say that it's tricky at times to find a vegan option on menus in the city. But one retaurant aims to change all that.
Veganity is a meal prep/delivery service in the UAE for proud vegans out there, or those just looking to try it out. The service, which starts at AED 500, delivers meals and snacks to your door five times a week, taking into account your dietary goals, fitness goals and even medical history.
Veganity works to smash whatever preconceptions you may have about vegan food, proving it can be just as diverse and delicious as carnivorous diets.
From ‘cinnabons’, to vegan meatball pasta, even to vegan fried chicken, Veganity may just convert you.
If you’re not down to commit to a full-on meal plan and subscription, Veganity is opening its own vegan restaurant in Dubai - and will be the largest vegan restaurant in the world.
Located in City Walk 2, the restaurant will have more than 200 dishes from around the world, all of them vegan.
"Taking it a step further, owner and head chef Sky Sommers wanted to create something that’s never been done before by opening the Veganity restaurant in the heart of Dubai on the main street of City Walk, creating a haven for vegans and non-vegans to be able to enjoy healthy yet soulful gourmet food that’s just as enjoyable," a spokesman for the restaurant said to The National.
The restaurant is set to open on August 16, with more UAE locations planned to open in the future.
