Fortnite Season X has started and time travel is confirmed
Fortnite season 10 is here, and it has started with a bang.
Epic Games servers have been busy pumping out the heavy season 10 update most of the morning, and now gamers across the world are waking up to a new day, and a new Fortnite.
Predictably, the results of the giant mechanical battle robot and sea-monster face off on July 20 has led to some map changes, not least in the way of a glowing orb within Loot Lake.
The orb – which stayed in its place all through the Fortnite World Cup last weekend – is key, as it suggests it has the power to bend time.
Fortnite released a 1-minute Season X trailer this morning, which shows a map with Dusty Divots intact. That has led to speculation that the game will pick up in the moments before the asteroid flattened the map.
The new season of Fortnite is expected to last the next ten weeks, and bring with it new weapons, game modes and – potentially – an all new vehicle.
Previously, the game has teased a player-controlled mech suit
