Matt Damon and Ben Affleck to star in Ridley Scott film 'The Last Duel'

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck will star opposite each other in the Ridley Scott-directed film, The Last Duel.
The film is an adaptation of the book by the same name, written by Eric Jager. It tells the true story of a trial by combat between two Norman lords, Jean de Carrouges and Jacques Le Gris – which took place in 1386.
According to the book, both lords were once the best of friends. However, they must resolve their dispute over Carrouges wife with a fight to the death. The victor of the duel is the one left standing.
Damon and Affleck will play both main characters. This will be the first time Ridley Scott has directed Damon since 2015’s The Martian, which was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category.
There’s no release date given.
While Damon and Affleck have appeared side-by-side in cameos, this will be the first time the pair will star opposite each other since their breakout writing and acting debut in Good Will Hunting.
