Chris Evans talks dirty in new Knives Out trailer
Rian Johnson has become one of pop culture's most significant filmmakers—between his kickass debut feature, Brick, his neo-noir time travel caper, Looper, and The Last Jedi, which has become one of the most argued films of all time.
But his latest film looks a bit different than his recent gigantic action/adventure films. It's an old-fashioned murder mystery, and it looks slick as heck.
The first trailer for Knives Out has dropped, and it shows off a cast that is about as star-studded as you can get. Daniel Craig, Toni Collette, Chris Evans, Don Johnson, and Michael Shannon are just a few of the big names showing up in Johnson's upcoming title.
The old-school vibes of the murder mystery genre are on full display in this trailer, as the film seems to be a chamber piece of sorts, taking place all in one location.
And from the looks of the trailer, this is no kid-friendly Disney film. It seems like there is a ton of violence trembling beneath the trailer of Knives Out, with knives, profanity, and a lot of angry glances being shot around by these big-time actors.
Most enjoyable, though, is seeing Chris Evans, hot off his departure from Marvel as Captain America, telling members of what seems to be his extended family to "eat sh*t, eat sh*t, eat sh*t."
Knives Out is set to release in theaters on November 27, 2019.
