Tom Holland's suit is a menswear must-have
Late night TV is difficult.
You must gesticulate, but not too much. You must appear confident, just not too confident. And, every third line should make the audience guffaw like they're in a Christmas catalogue advert. Tom Holland does this very well. Better yet, he dresses the part too - and it's a move every guy can steal.
The Spider-Man: Far From Home star opted for a suit that works every single time on every single frame in every single year since Very Smart Men sprang forth upon the planet: the black suit, albeit with a slight charcoal hue.
Once solely associated with funerals and vexatious doormen in the provinces, menswear has seen new light with the black suit. And with good reason. Like all strong wardrobe staples, it'll chime with almost anything you throw at it. Plus, black is easier to dress down than, say, your taupe linen summer suit or Wall Street pinstripes.
Similar to Holland, you eschew the crisp shirt for something cooler and lighter: the sort've underlayer that says you're a chilled out guy who is more than at home on a sofa in front of 9,000,000 people nationwide. What does that look like, exactly? A grey T-shirt, ideally, even a mandarin collared shirt should you be so inclined.
And so, while you may never enjoy an audience with Seth Meyers, you can still dress the part of ascendant actor with many a comical anecdote despite being just 23-years-old.
