What we know about Bond 25 from the on-set video
Daniel Craig is on his way past the ankle injury that knocked him out of filming Bond 25, and what better way to celebrate than with a new behind the scenes video from the film's set in Jamaica, shared by the official 007 social media accounts this morning.
Going off of information from the Bond 25 announcement earlier this year, Bond isn’t supposed to be on active duty, but the agent lurking outside the window with a gun tells a different story.
The behind the scenes clip is short, but for Bond aficionados, there’s some great details to pick out. Outside of seeing Cary Fukunaga directing the team, we also get our first glimpses of Captain Marvel's Lashana Lynch as Noni. You can also clock Jeffrey Wright’s return as Felix Leiter in the minute-long clip.
But most importantly, the whole thing is set in Jamaica, where it appears that Bond is at one hell of a party. As the announcement said, “Bond is not on active service when we start the film. So, he is actually enjoying himself in Jamaica.” Live it up, my man.
From already leaked images, we know that our guy loves a good Jamaican cigar and a pair of short shorts, but don’t expect the fun to last too long—the crew has already filmed in Norway and is expected to hit up Matera, Italy at some point to shoot scenes as well. No official word on Rami Malek’s arrival yet, but with characters like Felix popping up in Jamaica during Bond’s hiatus, Malek's new villain can’t be too far behind.
Welcome back, Bond. And for everything holy, please watch that ankle.
