Louis Vuitton: Rainbow Love

Like TikTok, where user numbers have soared, an application remaining virtually unknown to people over 30, Virgil’s influence on fashion and engaging the young is still in its infancy but is undeniable.
His second collection for the House of Vuitton flaunts some of the best accessories in the men’s market, no more so than the new Tambour Slim Rainbow watch and Keepall travel bag.
Created in 2002, the Louis Vuitton Tambour watch marks the true beginnings of the atelier’s watchmaking industry introduction. Fast forward 17 years, Virgil’s version takes us to the incandescent streets of New York with a combination of design and street art. A blend of colours contrasts brightly against the black background of the accessories.

A process of transferring the painting onto the dial using a silicon coated rubber stamp, carried out by hand colour by colour, comprising of 42 layers of paint and drying hours at 100 degrees to produce the dial.
The water resistant watch that is fitted with the new Monogram Eclipse interchangeable strap is a blend of bold design and watchmaking expertise that bodes well for the rest of the Fall 19 collection, which comprises of numerous exciting designs, most notably fibre optic light-up sneakers and bags to come.
