Madame Tussauds is making its way to Dubai this year
The famous waxwork museum already has museums in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Wuhan and New York
Madame Tussauds, the internationally loved waxwork museum is finally making its way to the Middle East. The museum is set to open this year on Bluewaters Island.
Madame Tussauds stands as one of the most popular destinations in all of London, a museum that has its origins dating back to almost 350 years, the waxwork wonder is home to some of the world’s best known faces and celebs.
Madame Tussauds was first announced in Dubai back in 2008. It will be owned and operated by ‘Merlin’, the second biggest attraction company in the world, behind only Walt Disney. ‘Merlin’ and ‘Merlin Entertainment’ own the likes of the London Eye and Legoland.
It hasn’t been revealed which familiar faces will be immortalised in the museum just yet, the franchise has always had a tradition of choosing both the most internationally known people and some of the region's most famous faces. So perhaps we will get a few friendly faces from right here in the Middle East and UAE.
The museum is set to open in autumn this year, expected to sit right next to the Dubai Eye Ferris wheel.
