HBO recently released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Thrones with its documentary The Last Watch, which aired a week after the final episode of the season. It included footage from the cast’s table reads, and gave fans glimpses into the table read of emotional scenes — including the moment the cast learns of Arya Stark's fate.
So it doesn't come as a surprise that your favourite character on GAme of Thrones is also the cast's favourite character. I mean, who doesn't love Arya Stark.
“He stops before Bran and raises his sword to strike, but something is hurdling toward him out of the darkness: Arya. She plunges the dagger up through the Night King’s armor. The Night King shatters.”
And obviously, the cast whet wild.
However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Maisie Williams, shared how she wanted her character to finish Game of Thrones. And like some fans, she’d have liked Arya go into her bag of faces and kill Cersei.
"I wanted Arya to kill Cersei even if it means [Arya] dies too," Williams told EW. "Even up to the point when Cersei’s with Jaime I thought [while reading the script], ‘He’s going to whip off his face [and reveal its Arya]’ and they’re both going to die. I thought that’s what Arya’s drive has been."
I think we like Williams' ending for Arya better than what the GoT writers came up with.
