The most anticipated tournament of 2019 — the ICC Cricket World Cup is almost upon us. Before the arguments on who will lift the prized trophy begins, the teams have started revealing their kits for the World Cup on their respective social media handles.
Hosts England and favourites Pakistan were among the first to reveal their kits to much awe and criticism.
The England team have gone for a reto look and have designed a kit that resembles one the team wore in 1992 when it last reached the World Cup final. Captain Eoin Morgan, Adil Rashid and Jonny Bairstow were the chosen models for the kit in the promotional campaigns.
The sky-blue uniform has stripes in different shades of dark blue running across the shoulders with thin red lines. The trousers are a matching shade of sky blue. But fans are not quite happy with the kit with many Indians calling out the sky blue kits on Twitter as being very similar to team India who are popularly dubbed 'The Men in Blue'.

However, England Test fast bowler Stuart Broad gave his thumbs up to the retro kit, saying: "A beautiful kit to lift the World Cup in." The Team England kit has been designed by New Balance.
The Pakistan team have also recently landed in London ahead of their opening match against West Indies in Nottingham.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the kit of the national team which has different shades of green from dark to a light.
Sharing the news on Twitter, a PCB statement said: “As Pakistan’s @cricketworlcup jersey is unveiled, send your good luck messages to the team.”
