Dubai is a city known for loving the finer things in life. From luxury homes to luxury hotels, there are lots of things to choose from when it comes to Dubai's jet-setting residents.
Fashion designer Elie Saab is moving from designing women's wear clothing to designing luxury homes in Dubai. HE has partnered with Dubai real estate giant Emaar Properties on a new, branded tower in residential community Emaar Beachfront at the much-anticipated Dubai Harbour.
Saab will design one-to-four-bedroom luxury apartments boasting Palm Jumeirah and sea views, as well as a private beach, at the gated island destination in the Arabian Gulf.
Prices for a one-bedroom apartment starts at AED1.2 million ($326,706), while prices for a four-bedroom can go up to AED5m ($1.4m).
He will also have a star in Dubai's walkable tribute to influencers from all over the world, in a project that is similar to Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
The star was presented to him by Emaar chairman Mohamed Alabbar as he announced the company's first partnership with Saab on its Emaar Beachfront project in Dubai.
Alabbar described Saab as "the pride of the Arab world, and a fascinating international success story".
Dubai Stars in Downtown Dubai will initally be home to 400 stars and will be unveiled in October at an event to be attended by the 400 featured celebrities who will launch their respective star.
