Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have been down for hours
What's the first thing most people do soon after they wake up? Check their social media feeds, scroll through posts and mesaages, and swipe through Instagram, Facebook or Whatsapp. Well, not today.
The Facebook family of apps has been facing issues and shows no sign of ending anytime soon.
Facebook users worldwide reported issues loading its family of apps, according to the website Downdetector. The company acknowledged issues with , Instagram and WhatsApp as well. Users reported issues logging in and posting on the platforms.
"Sorry, Something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as fast as we can."
Facebook had to log into their handle on rival platform Twitter to inform users of the situation.
Some users also got a message that said: “Account Temporarily Unavailable.”

Reports of problems with Facebook peaked at over 11,000 worldwide, according to Downdetector. CNBC reports, the site listed zero problems by about 5 pm, and many people reported their access had been restored, but Facebook has not yet confirmed the issues were resolved.
Issues were also reported in some parts of the United States, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Pakistan, Nepal, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and Indonesia.
