Get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in 35 mins with Lamborghini Huracán

Last weekend saw Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East 2019 championship kick off at the Dubai Autodrome. The racing series first took place back in 2017 in Dubai and is held across Europe, Asia, and North America. Esquire Middle East was on the ground at the weekend’s race to experience the thrill of Lamborghini Super Trofeo at the track.
This year OPPO, a leading global smartphone brand and a name you’ll hear a lot more partnered up with the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series globally to add a certain tech ‘je ne sais quoi’.
For the motoring enthusiast, the Lamborghini Huracán can make it from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in about the same time it takes for the phone to charge up, which is 35 mins provided you put pedal to the metal and cruise at 320km/h.
It wasn’t all spectating, Esquire had the opportunity to test drive the Lamborghini Urus, the SUV manufactured by Italian car manufacturer with a 4.0 Litre FSI twin-turbocharged V8 power house of an engine that produces 641 hp and an 8-speed ZF 8HP automatic transmission for those seamless race like shifts.
Next weekend February 21 to 23 will see the Abu Dhabi, Yas Island leg of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East series and for the first time winners of each class will be admitted to the World Finals, Jerez de la Frontera in Spain - October 24 – 27. Racing fans can attend the two UAE events free of charge.
To support that repositioning, OPPO has recently launched its second regional hub in Dubai as its new center of operations for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region and there is further good news for those tech fans, 2019 OPPO will offer a more premium series to a younger consumer base in the GCC region, so watch this space.
