Burj Khalifa to open new venue on 152nd floor
The Burj Khalifa announced it's opening a new restaurant on the 152nd floor of the world's tallest building.
The new 'dining destination' will feature a lounge, bar area and outdoor terrace (for selfies, we presume) and will sit 30-floors above At.Mosphere - which until today, was the world's highest restaurant.
According to Emaar, the new venue will be a "destination that will delight residents and visitors". But we'd suggest those with vertigo to give this one a miss. The new outlet will be the highest lounge in the world, sitting 575-metres above the ground.
The lounge will be managed by the Armani Hotel and said to feature live music, as well as a selection of beverages, canape, high tea, sundowners and a dinner menu.
Much like access to the Burj Khalifa's viewing deck, visitors will have to book the experience online. So far, we know the high tea experience will cost punters Dhs550 per person, while sundowners costs Dhs600 per person (with unlimited canapes and a single drink).
The still-unnamed venue will usurp At.Mosphere's claim as the world's tallest dining destination. The restaurant and bar is sat on floor 122 (just 442-metres from the ground).
