Gucci’s new fragrance collection is a chemistry set for grown-ups
“The idea that some primary scents can bring you back to a different place is so important for every human being,” says Alessandro Michele, and it an exploration into those different places that is on offer with the spectacular new collection from Gucci’s creative director.
Considering the creative whirlwind that is Michele’s vision at Gucci, it is little surprise that the new collection of luxury fragrances are inspired by an alchemist’s laboratory – it’s very much how we imagine his grooming cabinet at home to look.
Working with famed perfumer Alberto Morillas, Michelle’s memories manifest themselves in seven typically flamboyant outcomes with names including: The Voice of the Snake (Oud); Winter’s Spring (Mimosa) and The Eyes of the Tiger (Amber) – the bottles inspired by the porcelain-deck shelves of a vintage apothecary.
Further embracing the science of alchemy inspiration, alongside the seven new unisex eau de parfums, the collection also encourages people to play around with four additional scented oils and three floral water sprays to help customise their own concentration – just as an alchemist would work to find the perfect formula.
Collection is available at the new Gucci Beauty store in Bloomingdales Dubai Mall. Eau De Parfum AED1280, Acque Profumate AED995, Perfumed Oils AED1,620
