Baume et Mercier extends Baumatic range at SIHH 2019
Last year was one of the biggest in Baume et Mercier’s existence, as it unveiled the brand’s first and only in-house movement: the BM12.
This year, the movement has been refined. Dubbed the BM13, this upgraded movement is slightly smaller and more budget-friendly, making it even more affordable to own one of the brand’s highly-lauded Baumatic watches. The new caliber sits inside five new watches, some with COSC certifications.
The best example of just how versatile the new caliber is, however, is Baume et Mercier’s latest Perpetual Calendar model of the Baumatic. In this case, the movement features an increased calendar module that lets the watch tell not just the time, but the day, date, month and year. Better yet, it won’t have to be adjusted until the year 2,100.
The design harks back to the original Baumatic, with a clean white face and sub-dials at the bottom of all four hemispheres.
As per all Baumatics, the perpetual calendar model is also anti-magnetic and comes with a five-day power reserve.
