Esquire Townhouse 2018: What to Expect
Welcome to the first day of 2018’s Esquire Townhouse, a three-day event that sees some of the biggest brands in the region collide with our VIP guests, and all inside a stunning 60 million dirham villa on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.
Every day our guests will enjoy a series of activations, talks and masterclasses, fitness sessions, sartorial tutorials and private dinners, not to mention real-life access to some of the leading voices in style, sport, tech, travel, food and film. And our first day is always our biggest.
We’re kicking off the festivities with an extraordinary event indeed. Bremont – the British watchmaker that’s redefining the world of watchmaking – is not only headlining this year’s Esquire Townhouse but has chosen to use our house to officially launch its brand new Supersonic line of watches in the region.
The new watches – which are inspired by the iconic Concorde Supersonic Aircraft – are as subtle as they are beautiful, and just after the launch event guests will be allowed to get up close and personal with this stunning new timepiece.
But don’t take our word for it. Later on Giles English – one of the founders of Bremont – will be live at the Townhouse, talking to our team and our guests about the world of watchmaking.
Next, we’re talking to film director Yasir Al-Yasiri about the rise of the Arab filmmaker. Al Yasiri is an Iraqi director that’s renowned for his work in the Arab entertainment industry, but mainly as a music video director. But with more than ten awards under his belt, he moved over to the sliver screen and immediately made waves in the industry with his first short film Murk Light. Today he’s at Townhouse to talk about the challenges – and joys – of filmmaking in the region.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Afterwards, we’re moving into the fitness game and looking at how to live your best life. Technogym – the Italian wellness stalwart – will be leading a talk discussing how guests go about designing their perfect life.
Of course, what is a day at the Townhouse without some stellar food? Which is why we’re happy to have the team at Ruya Dubai – also known as Esquire’s Best Restaurant of 2018 – in the kitchen and serving up the best that Anatolian cuisine has to offer.
Now, while Esquire Townhouse is an invite-only affair, we’re going to be bringing you live coverage of the day via our social media channels. You can follow along with the panel sessions live on Facebook and Periscope, as well as right here on YouTube.
