Get an exclusive tasting from this brand new restaurant
Dubai has more dining concepts than you can shake a chocolate-covered burger (that was made by a Michelin-starred chef) from your dining table that hangs off the 47th floor of the world’s second-tallest building at.
Long, overblown point now made, every month sees the launch of this new restaurant in Dubai, each peddling a new and “innovative” way to re-package old dining concepts as new ones. “This Thai restaurant is really an old French bistro,” or “this Mexican restaurant fancies itself a hotel” or “we make milkshakes you can’t actually eat, only take pictures of for Instagram”.
But every now and again a restaurant opens up minus the gimmicks and instead relies solely on good food based upon years of positive feedback and reviews. Alici just might be that restaurant when it opens up early next year, in Bluewaters.
It comes from the same award-winning team from Il Borro Tuscan Bistro and wants to become the definitive Italian restaurant for seafood lovers (the food is inspired by the Amalfi coast). The new restaurant will be set across two floors at The Wharf, overlooking the sea.
Because we’re so excited about the launch of Alici, we’ve managed to convince the team to give our guests at The Esquire Townhouse an exclusive sneak peek at the menu. Expect sumptuous seafood, and some of the freshest and most authentic of Italian ingredients (if it’s the same as Il Borro, most of the food is flown in daily from its native Italy).
Can’t make it down to this year’s Townhouse event? You’ll be able to follow along with all that and more via our social media channels.
