Robert Pattinson proves the skinny tie ain't dead

Yes, we've championed wider ties - and wider tailoring in general - this year. That's because it is simultaneously en vogue, very classic and very cool. But thanks to Robert Pattinson's latest move, there's life in the old skinny tie yet.
At the GO Campaign Gala in Los Angeles, the 32-year-old's neckwear made a nod to The Kooks days of yore, but updated the dying trend for something simpler: classic blue in what appears to be silk.
Before you dust off your old copies of NME however, know that Pattinson's framing of the tie is what makes it work. The properly fitted, pinstriped navy suit with similarly narrow lapels is timeless. So no super skinny Pete Doherty tailoring, is what we're saying.
